May and Padmore (M & P), 120, 121, 122 and 123, Leopold St., Birmingham,brassfounders, door springs and cabinet furniture.  Distictive 'M and P' mark on late Victorian figural candlesticks.

 

 

 

 

 Maker's mark, Pattern Number and Registration Number - their good system gives all the information needed on the back of a curtain rail bracket.

 

(Rd No 268928 can be seen to have been a design registered in 1896.

 

 

 

Maker's mark under a chamberstick from their 'Keltic' pattern range together with two catalogue numbers.
